Masters 2 - Match report 30 May 12

A hard fought match for Masters 2 last night which ended in a 7-6 win over North Shore Des.

We have slipped off the top of the table and are now second equal with Browns Bay, who along with Henderson the top team, posted a 12 pointer last night.

Dietmar "lethal Londer" was first up and found Jamie Coltman just a bit too accurate and went down 3-0, although all the games were tight.

Equally Rob "where is his mind" Drent found Des Barnett  too precise and went down 3-1.  But the fact Rob forgot his shoes and had to borrow Dietmar's was probably an indication his mind was definitely elsewhere.

Ryan 'wrecking ball' Quinn continues to fly round the court with his new found frame and finished off Graham Dennyshen 3-0 with such a wallop that Graham went home immediately.

Probably the performance of the night though came from Bruce 'the ref' Stewart who needed to win 3-0 to give us the win. And that he did over Greg Martin in quite a bit of confidence and style: mixing it up with excellent driving, dropping and lobbing.  Also barely a whisper.
